Merry Christmas

Today has been a really fun day. When I woke up and went downstairs, there were all these presents in pretty paper sitting under the Christmas tree. Grace said that Santa had brought them for her and I, isn't that nice of him? I was really spoilt and got some new toys to play with. I had a little nap before lunch and when I woke up, Grandpa, Noi, Tracey, Haidee, Mocha, Whittaker and Doris were all there. Then we had lots of yummy food to eat and had a play outside with everyone. the only thing I didn't enjoy so much, was the funny shirt and hat Grandpa and Noi dressed me in. Not good for my street cred, if you know what I mean...

Cuddles with Ashley

My cousin Ashley came to see us today and we played lots and had cuddles and it was really good fun. Ashley doesn't live in Auckland so we don't get to see her that much, how sad.

Concert Fun

I went to my first concert today to see a group called Polkadots. They sung some songs and did a bit of dancing around, I didn't quite know where to look there was so much going on. And I got to have a popcorn snack too, what a fun day out.

Oh Christmas Tree

Mummy, Mama and Grace spent a lot of time today putting up this big green tree in our living room. After the tree was standing up, Grace and Mama started hanging these things off the branches. I don't know what it's all about but it sure looks pretty. The things hanging on the tree look really interesting too but everytime I go to take one off to have a closer look, I get told "No!". I have no idea what that's all about but it's very annoying.

Happy Birthday Mummy

Mummy's birthday is today and as I'm so good at unwrapping presents, I thought I'd help Mummy open hers. I don't think Mummy minded. This evening we all went to a restaurant for a yummy meal and there were lots of people there to help celebrate Mummy's birthday. Once again I sat with Poppa and he gave me lots of treats...I know when I'm onto a good thing!

Louis the Red Nosed Reindeer

Grace is going to a school disco tonight and she is dressing up as Rudolph. She let me try on the flashing nose and antlers which I thought was pretty cool.

Piano Man

Grace has let me play with her little piano and microphone which I just love. My favourite thing to do is dance and sing along into the microphone. Mummy keeps calling me Elton John but I think she's confused because my name is Louis John.

Happy Birthday Grace

Today is Grace's 6th birthday and I helped her unwrap some of her presents. She got a great big box which I had lots of fun playing with. I can't remember what was inside, I was too busy playing with the flaps on the box. In the afternoon Grace had some friends over for a party, I sat with Poppa for most of the time and he kept giving me all this yummy food. It felt like my birthday, I had so many treats today!

Spoonfuls of Fun

I'm learning to use my spoon and Mummy says I'm doing a real good job. I sometimes miss my mouth though but that's all part of the fun, isn't it?

My Mate Poppa

Poppa and I are great mates you know. I love hanging out with him because we always have great fun. We have similar hats too, Grace says we look like twins sometimes.

Mini Holiday

We've gone on a little holiday to Rotorua with a big group of friends and I'm really enjoying myself. Here I am at the Redwood Forest, there are so many trees and they are really tall. We went for a stroll in the forest and I had a little nap as the footpath was a little bumpy and all that jiggling around in my pushchair put me to sleep!

Say Cheeeeeeeese!

I'm learning to smile at the camera but Mummy says my smile is a bit too cheesy, whatever that means. What do you think?

Bath Boy

I still really enjoy having a bath and now that I'm a little bigger, Grace and I have a bath together in the big bath. Grace has got so many toys to play with and she's really good at sharing them with me.

Winter Walks

We all went for a walk to the beach and the duck pond today. It was nice and sunny but quite chilly so Mummy and Mama made sure I wrapped up nice and warm. I like snuggling in my pushchair and watching the world go by.

Ice Cream!

Mmmm, I tried ice-cream for the first time today. We went for dinner at Grandma and Poppa's and after dinner, Grace and I both had an ice-cream cone for dessert. It was delicious and it took me a little while to finish it but I made sure I ate every single little bit.

Mad Hatter

I made a hat with my dinner tonight, gently placing my food on top of my head. Grace thought it was really funny but I'm not sure Mummy was that impressed. I think she would have preferred it if I had actually eaten my dinner rather than played with it. Don't knock it until you've tried it though I say, it's lots of fun.

Piano Man

I love tickling the ivories and having a play on the piano. I pull myself up, stand at the piano and play a little tune. I especially love hearing the applause after each of my little concerts.

Toy Time

I have a great big box filled with all my toys in the living room. Mummy and Mama put some toys out for me to play with but sometimes I like to have a good rummage through the box myself. I stand on my tippy-toes and reach in as far as I can. Mummy thinks one day soon I'm going to topple over and fall inside.

Music Man

I love listening to music and especially love dancing to it. My particular favourite piece of music at the moment is the theme song to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Grandma is always singing it to me and when Grace is watching the movie I love dancing along to it.

Butterfly Creek

Mama went on a trip today to Australia and after we dropped her off at the airport, Mummy took Grace and I to Butterfly Creek. I loved the butterfly enclosure, all these very pretty butterflies came flying over to say hello to me. Afterwards we saw Grandma and Poppa and Poppa read Grace and I a story. I helped Poppa turn the pages which I very much enjoyed.

Party Boy

Today I hosted my first birthday party and I think it went very well indeed. I got some more presents to unwrap which Mummy helped me with and then we had some very tasty afternoon tea, including my delicious birthday cake. Mummy made a cake with blocks which spelt out my name and Grace helped me blow out the birthday candles.

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's my very first birthday today and I got really spoilt with lots of presents. Mama took the day off work and we played at home with my new toys. I'm having a little birthday party on Saturday afternoon and I can't wait to try my birthday cake.

Me and My Sister

I love my big sister, she is really cuddly and so much fun to play with. Now that I am crawling around, we play chase together which is my favourite game at the moment. Here I am with Grace on Mother's Day, alongside the little rose plant that we have to remember Alice, my other big sister.

Blocks

I love my blocks, especially knocking them around the place after Mummy, Mama or Grace have built a big tower with them. They taste pretty nice too.

Big Yellow Car

Look at me in Grace's big yellow car! I love sitting in it, holding the steering wheel and pushing the buttons which make lots of noise. I can't quite reach the pedal yet but Mummy pushes the car up and down so it feels like I'm driving it.

Playing with Poppa

Poppa makes me laugh so much, he does these really silly things and I can't stop giggling!

Before Bedtime

Every night Grace and I have a bath together and then we go into Grace's room for a story before bedtime. I love crawling from the bathroom into Grace's room, Mummy tells me when it's time and away I go. Then I usually have a little play with Grace's toys while Mummy or Mama read Grace a story. Grace has some cool toys and she is very good at letting me play with them.

On the Move!

I've finally cracked this crawling business, although I'm still a little slow. It took me a while to get the hang of it, I kept moving backwards at first but not any more. It's so much fun being able to move around and explore everything. Look out, here I come!

Last Day

Today we're leaving Taranaki and going back home. I've really enjoyed my holiday with Aunty Pam and Uncle Bryan. Aunty Pam made some really yummy food just for me, and she also played with me on the floor, it was great fun.

Surf, Sand, Super!

I'm just loving these trips to the beach, today we went to Oakura beach where I ate some sand and splashed in the water. What a fun way to spend a day in the sun.

Jolly Holiday

Mummy and Mama have taken Grace and I on holiday to Taranaki to stay with Aunty Pam and Uncle Bryan. Today we went on a little train through a park and then I got to have a swing. I really enjoy the swing and love going up high in the air.

Bye Bye John

John is leaving to go back to chilly London today and everyone is very sad. But John has promised that he'll come back to see us again and I'm going to try really hard not to pull off his glasses next time.

Surf's Up

Grace let me try her boogie board today when we went to Arkles Bay beach. It was lots of fun and Grace said that she'll let me have another turn the next time we go to the beach.

Wet n' Wild

We took John to Piha today and Mama took me for a paddle in the surf. There were some really big waves, once of which took Mama a little by surprise when we were having our photo taken. I didn't mind it but Mama got a little wet.

Paddling in the Pool

At the place where Grandma and Poppa live, there is this really big swimming pool and Grace and I have been going for lots of swims in it. The pool is just like a bath but much, much bigger which means I can make much, much bigger splashes with my hands and feet.

Teeth!

Something strange has happened in my mouth, these two little white things have appeared through my bottom gum. Mummy, Mama and Grace were all very excited about it so I'm guessing it's a good thing. I wonder if I'll get any more...watch this space!
