Duck!

Mama took Grace and I for a walk this morning before breakfast to see the ducks. I have never seen so many ducks before, there were lots of them and they were very hungry indeed. They also made a lot of noise, quack, quack, quack!

My First Christmas

Today is a really exciting day because it's my very first Christmas. I got all these toys wrapped up in shiny paper and loved playing with the toys once I had them unwrapped. The paper was quite good fun to play with too. But the best thing about Christmas is that John is here staying with us from London. I love playing with his glasses but I'm not sure he is enjoying it as much as I am. Merry Christmas everyone!

Tickle Time

I love having my tummy tickled and stretch right out so Mummy can reach all the right tickle places.

Bye Bye Skippy

Skippy is going home today and I'm quite sad about that. I have really enjoyed playing with Skippy, especially pulling her hair, tugging at her nose, and trying to eat her necklace.

Beach Boy

We went for a lovely big walk to Cathedral Cove with Skippy and Mummy carried me all the way. When we got to the bottom there was this lovely beach and I got to sit on the sand for the very first time. It felt funny on my feet and didn't taste very nice but that didn't stop me from shoving lots of sand in my mouth.

Boy in the Bubbles

We are staying at a motel in Whangamata and just outside our unit is a great big bath. Mummy filled it up with water, put these funny bubble things in it and then Grace and I went in the bath with Mummy. There were so many bubbles, Grace kept disappearing amongst them.

Tiki Tour

Mummy's friend Skippy is visiting us from London and we're taking a little holiday to show her the sights. We have gone to the Coromandel Peninsula and today we went on a little train ride at a place just outside Coromandel Town. I've never been on a train before and I really enjoyed it, especially when we went through the dark tunnels.

Orewa Parade

Mummy and Mama took Grace and I to the Christmas Santa Parade at Orewa today. I'd never seen anything like it before, I just didn't know which way to look. My favourite was the marching band, Mummy said my eyes almost popped out of my head when the band marched past us.

Chicken Boy

Grace caught the chicken pox a few weeks ago and then she gave the spots to me. I'm not that worried about it though because the spots aren't too itchy and Grace is helping Mummy look after me.

Playtime with Poppa

We visited Grandma and Poppa today and I got to play with Poppa. He let me try on his sunhat which I thought was really funny, but it was a little big for me and kept falling over my eyes.

Bed Buddies

Sometimes in the mornings when we don't have to rush out to take Grace somewhere, I get to snuggle in Grace's bed with her and play. She has a lovely comfortable bed with lots of toys on it and I love looking at them all.

Giggles with Grace

I love my big sister and she made me laugh so much today. Grace kept making this strange noise which I thought was really funny and I just couldn't stop laughing.

Tummy Time

I'm learning to lie on my tummy and lift my head up and Mummy says I'm doing a great job. I like to put my bottom up in the air when I'm on my tummy which Grace thinks is quite funny.

Mat Time

This is one of Grace's old playmats which she has given me and I love playing on it. It has a musical mobile thing with flashy lights and lots of dangly things for me to look at. Grace sometimes tries to squeeze onto the mat with me but I think she's a bit big for it now, however there's still lots of room for me thank goodness.

Bath Time Bundle

I still love having my bath and spend the whole time kicking my legs and splashing Mummy. Mummy wraps me up in a lovely warm towel before and after my bath and here I am just about to head into my bubbly bath tub. Aren't I filling out nicely? Mummy calls me her chubby checker, whatever that is.

Car Seat

Now that I'm getting a little bigger and am able to stay awake a little longer, I get to sit in my bouncing car seat. I've discovered that when I kick my legs the chair bounces, how cool is that? I can see lots of things around me when I'm sitting in my chair, and Grace likes to sit next to me and chat which I really like too.

Smile!

My new favourite thing to do is smile. I love smiling and I do it all the time, even in my sleep.

Dressed to Kill

Look at me in my trendy jeans and stylish shirt, don't I look a million bucks?! I'm having a kick around on my mat before Mummy and Grace take me to the zoo for the day. It's good fun stretching my legs and waving my arms around, Mummy says it looks like I'm trying to take off like a helicopter.

The Guys

Tracey and Haidee came to stay at our house and I got lots of cuddles and attention. I loved looking at Haidee's curly hair, it made me laugh and smile a lot, and Tracey played with me on my mat which was great fun.

Lovely Lady

This is Kim, my Mummy's midwife who looked after my Mummy when I was in her tummy. Kim also looked after me when I first came out of Mummy's tummy and then she came to see me at home to make sure I was doing okay. Kim is a lovely lady who always smiled at me, I'm going to miss her smile.

Out for Lunch

We were invited to Isobel and Madeline's house for lunch today and I was very lucky because I got to have my lunch first and then I had a lovely long nap on Isobel's bed. The girls were very excited to see me and kept asking Mummy if they could help feed me.

Happy Families

Mama took a nice photo of me with Mummy and Grace today, along with Grace's little baby whose name I can't remember because Grace keeps changing it. Thankfully my name is still the same!

Little and Large

I went to see Grandma and Poppa in their home today, my first visit to their house, and had lots of cuddles with Poppa. He is quite a lot bigger than me but he promises that one day I'll be just as big as him.

Home

I'm home at last and am quite pleased to be here. Mummy, Mama and Grace showed me around my new home and then I took a little nap, it was quite exhausting taking everything in. I think I'm going to be very happy in my home.

Little Mouse

Grace came to see me again today and said I sounded like a little mouse as I make funny squeaky noises sometimes.

Splish Splash

Another first for me today, this time my first bath. I didn't like it very much in the beginning but after a while, I actually started enjoying myself and floated my legs in the water. I held on tight to the face cloth because it was lovely and warm against my tummy.

Leaving Hospital

Today Mummy and I left North Shore Hospital and I went in my carseat for the first time. I was all snuggled up and slept all the way from the hospital to Warkworth where Mummy and I will be staying for a few days.

It's Grandma

This is my first cuddle with Grandma. I know it's Grandma when she holds me because she is always saying "it's Grandma", and she loves to sing to me which always makes everyone laugh.

My Big Sister

My big sister Grace came to see me today and she gave me a lovely cuddle and lots of little kisses on my head. I really enjoyed the attention and I'm sure it will be the first of many cuddles my sister will be giving me.

Welcome to the World!

I'm here! I finally arrived at 12.28pm at North Shore Hospital and here are a few photos of the big moment. Mama didn't get a photo of the great big wee I did all over Mummy when I first came out of her tummy...I was busting and just couldn't hold on any longer. Sorry Mummy!
